chicken pasta with basil and iced berries with hot sauce

Saturday 19 November 2011

Everything i did today was rush-rush: sleeping, cleaning, cooking, eating! one of those days, where u just want to complete all things in haste. so, i decided to put together somthing quick - pasta (voila)!

it would have taken me only half the cooking time if it werent for the silly chicken, that just insisted on staying frozen. i tryed to thaw it by placing it in cold water, then warm water, even microwaved it (most people would disapprove of this method- but i was in a hurry and my husband is still alive :) )...

for dessert it was again a simple but elegant tasting treat : iced fruit with hot sauce! yum to the tum, i say!

he enjoyed it, i enjoyed it. 9 out of 10, he said. i guess im getting close...

enjoy.x

Mexican fajita wraps with chips

Last  night (18th novemeber 2011), after giving absolutely NO thought to what i should cook fajita wraps sprung to mind out of no where: it's sort of like a reminiscent dish, my older sister used to cook it for me when i was young and it was very delicioso.

okay, i cooked the chicken over high heat until it was brown then threw in the onions, green peppers and loads of salt (inadvertently), sauce, jalapeno, spices, a sprinkle of water and that was it! a very simple dish, indeed. oh and then poured the yummy mixture into the tortilla wraps.

it took me 30 mins to cook the wraps - the packet said it would take 10 (lol) but i guess i took extra time giving it the asian touch. did everyone enjoy it? they said yes, but im sure i could've made it tastier...

Steak and Vegetables

Hi there! my names Ellahi and im going to share my food cooking/husband feeding experience with you. Enjoy...

Yesterday, i rushed back from wherever I was to cook my dear husband steak. Clever me forgot to tell the butcher to make thin slices, so i had to spend extra few minutes bashing the living day lights out of it - it was so dead, even before it touched the griddle! I virgin oiled it, salted it, peppered it...and of course, I gave it an 'Asian touch' and cooked it well- not a pink colour in sight.

Bon appettit, I said to him.
Thank you, darling, he replied.
